Johann and Barbara Pacholl

Johann (John) Pacholl is the oldest Pacholl where we can trace back our roots. He was born in Elditten, and came to the United States after Andrew came over.

The picture below was taken around 1891 since Elizabeth looks to be one year old. This means it would have been taken in Rock Valley, Iowa.

Sitting: Andrew and Katherina

Johann, Barbara and family

Johann and Barbara both lived on the Andrew Pacholl farm, and died in St. Kilian, MN where they are buried. Johann is on the left, Barbara is on the right. Probably misplaced is the veteran star next to Barbara's tombstone.

Note: the German heritage can be seen from the German abbreviations on the tombstone.

Death Certificate of
Barbara Pacholl

Left is a portion of the death certificate. It appears her mother was Anna Neumann, and her father's name looks like Ruehus Widig (but is difficult to interpret). Note that Mathilda Duwenhoegger (their daughter) signed the death certificate.
