Technical lead for 10 Java Developers, and also project lead on some Microsoft ASP and C# projects.

 

Project Technical Leadership

·     Lead for service oriented message gateway application.  Project now in UAT.  Gateway supports multi-credit vendors and email marketing.  Use of project management WIKI for development artifacts, design discussions, unit test reports and code coverage analysis reports

·     Presented CIO Award of Excellence for leadership and development on J2EE Internet Loan Origination system.

·     Lead for Downey Savings Internet Website.  Designed ASP framework for template based rendering of web pages, developed dynamic menu framework, and led both development and GUI teams.

·     Lead for Online Signature Verification application, a C# .NET intranet application used to verify check signatures.  Performed high level design for application, and led development team.

Service Oriented Architecture

·     Developed Message Gateway modules, workflow, message translators, and dispatcher to support both synchronous and asynchronous messaging.

·     Developed Java Web Service clients to third party Loan Origination System Web Service.   Also developed Web Service Server to use as testing proxy.

·     Developed J2EE based Web Service for external integration of credit services to  RealEC.  Also built a .NET Web Service for internal testing.

·     Developed Loan Event messaging proof of concept using Oracle Triggers, SonicMQ and both Java and .NET clients.

Java Web Server Development

·     Developed J2EE web based software for loan applications, both front end and server side. JSP, Servlet, EJB, and JMS technologies utilized. 70% of all bank loans were coming through this web channel 1 year after going production.

·     Developed a JMX Monitor for Weblogic MBeans.  Performed stress testing and analysis of loan application using JMeter.

·     Developed properties, audit logging, EJB, database service frameworks.  Developed XML interfaces to external systems.  Developed online reporting application for reviewing loan application data.  Developed tool to generate DAO classes from a database schema.

·     Developed an event based OFX server for online banking project.  This OFX server processed SGML requests over HTTPS and returned XML responses and had Intuit Quicken and Microsoft Money clients.

·     Developed Web front end using Struts and Tiles frameworks. Converted lending application from custom MVC framework to Struts and Tiles.

·     Developed dynamic menu generation module for .NET web application based on XML schema.

Business Development

·     Developed Rule Engine prototype for Credit Grading using ILOG and XML schema tools.

·     Developed a prototype Desktop Underwriting file parser using XSLT, SAX, XML-Schemas and JAXB technologies.

·     Developed 3 tier Internet commercial software for staffing/consulting industry. Programmed Java middle tier utilizing WebLogic Enterprise Java Beans, XML4J, XML, RDF, and Java Servlets. Responsible for database EJB interfaces (RDBMS and Query services), implemented with bean managed persistence.

·     Programmed backend using Oracle Database and JDBC. Programmed GUI using XML, XSLT, CSS2, Dynamic HTML and JavaScript. Application framework was custom built and inter-module communication was XML based. Application framework makes extensive use of metadata.

·     Designed business rule architecture in middle tier to handle create, read, update and delete operations of data-bound HTML widgets.

·     Assisted in the development of tools that read schematic metadata and generated Java classes from it.

·     Familiar with Design Patterns and OO Design concepts. Performed OO design of front end framework (JavaScript based) using UML and Rational Rose.

·     Developed Merit Increase Planning System for Walt Disney Corporate I.S. Services. Set development standards for project. Programmed in PowerBuilder 5.0, Sybase 11.0 stored procedures, and SQR.

·     Personally developed 10 online windows and a reporting subsystem for a financial application used to plan Merit increases for Disney employees. Developed software to cache data retrievals by the application. Developed windows to do ad hoc data queries using dynamic SQL. Used OLE and VBA to generate Excel reports from PowerBuilder windows.

·     Developed Sybase stored procedures to traverse a hierarchical data table and roll up financial data by organization. Developed a unit testing procedure and template for the LA branch of CTP.

·     Electronic Commerce Project Scopes for Honda of America Inc and Western International Media Corp. Two month effort to scope E-Commerce websites for Honda and WIMC. Developed prototype using MS IIS, Visual Interdev, ASP, and JavaScript. Completed 4 days of MS Site Server training. Worked on Data Warehouse system design project for a financial services company.

Experian

·     Developed Client/Server software using C++ and PowerBuilder 5.0 in support of credit processing services. Led team of seven developers responsible for delivering Windows 95 front end to a large client/server development project. Customized and maintained application framework (common code used by other developers). Designed and developed critical software to update and report consumer credit information, to monitor the status of jobs, to submit jobs and to FTP reports from an MVS platform to a PC-based client. Installed and customized commercial security framework.

·     Installed and administered Powerbuilder, TCP/IP, FTP OCX and SQL/NET Client software. Utilized Oracle Database, Oracle Transparent Gateway, and DB2. Developed data driven error message and logging system for all Experian Client/Server applications.

·     Developed Performance Testing Load Analysis Tool for doing workload analysis using MS Visual C++. Tool capable of submitting multiple processes reading dynamically changing SQL scripts, and performing the data retrievals, recording response times, and stressing out database server.

·     Led six man technical team in providing technical support for scheduling software running on MVS and UNIX platforms. Debugged installation and customization problems on MVS systems. Provided technical support to customer engineers in the field and to MVS system programmers working for clients. Analyzed MVS dumps and associated diagnostics.

·     Wrote customized MVS O/S software (exits) for customers.

·     Debugged installation and customization problems on UNIX systems. Diagnosed application, TCP/IP, and SYBASE problems.

·     Installed and maintained MVS Operating Systems for mainframe outsourcing company. Specialized in moving and converting clients from older MVS levels to current MVS maintenance levels. I/O configuration of ES9000’s in LPAR configuration. Coded in Assembler (Reentrant MVS Operating System Exits). Installed MVS 4.2, JES2, TSO, SDSF, SMP, RACF, SMS and other MVS software. Installed 3rd party software including JOBTRAC, SAR, OPS/MVS, ADABAS, and Omegamon for MVS. Provided MVS performance and utilization reporting using SAS. Performed storage management and RACF administration functions. Clients included Fluor Daniels, LA County, and Compuserve.

·     Developed 36 programs for welfare application on a CICS platform using DB2, ADABAS, and Natural. Application is used by LA County to qualify and track welfare recipients in job training
