We had our first meeting in September and worked on the "Plants Try It".
We made Christmas ornaments for the Bob Porter project. |

During Thanksgiving Break, we went to see a movie
"A Bug's Life".We worked on the "Food Fun Try it". |

We earned our "Art to Wear Try It".
We marched in the Main Street Parade.

During March we earned the "Senses Try It". In April, we participated at Skills Day with other El Segundo Girl Scout Troops. We earned the "Ready Set Go Try It". |
In March we completed our cookie sales and had fun selling at our booth. |
In May we worked on the "People of the World Try It".
We learned about helping people and participated in "Good Turn Day" by donating clothes to Goodwill Industries.
At one of our meetings, we were Hawaiians - made leis, danced the hula,
tasted pineapple and macadamia nut cookies, and learned some Hawaiian words. |

We earned the "Puppets, Dolls and Play Try It". |

Eight girls attended our "Buddy Party" - they created felt finger puppets and made twirling boomerangs.Our guests were a wonderful audience as the troop members rehearsed for the talent show. After pizza and ice cream, one of the buddies asked if she could participate in the talent show rehearsal. A Brownie vote was taken with unanimous results - we agreed that the buddies should get a chance to entertain us. Their singing and cheering were fun additions to our Brownie party. |
![]() Our final Brownie meeting combined a Rededication Ceremony and a Talent Show for family and friends. Congratulations and thanks to all for a very successful Brownie year. |
| SUMMER SLEEPOVER We met in July '99 for a sleepover. Some troop members who had already earned
the "Ready, Set Go Try It" helped those who were unable to attend Skills Day earn this try it.

| BEACH FUN In August '99, we traveled to the Cabrillo Museum in San Pedro to learn about sharks. After viewing many different sea creatures (we loved the jelly fish), we frolicked on the beach making sand castles. |
