Troop 150 enjoyed a day at Malibu Creek State Park
with other troops from the El Segundo Neighborhood.
Upon our arrival , each girl was provided a cute straw
hat decorated with a blue felt butterfly and a necklace
with a magnifying container to capture interesting
specimens. Within minutes, some of the girls found
snakeskins — Here we are with our new found specimens !
Skipping Stones
On the first leg of our hike, we stopped at this creek and skipped a few stones.
Observing Wildlife
We found some tadpoles in a shallow
part of the creek. Also, there were little
green frogs and dragonflies in this area.
Wading the Creek
On our last leg of the hike, we had a chance to cool off - socks and shoes were
quickly removed to wade in this little creek.
