This painting sums up Peter's attitude towards life: keep everybody guessing. Born the son of Greek immigrants, he grew up "on the streets" of New York City. Peter graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School where he developed a love for writing and became editor of the school magazine. In 1966, a scholarship took him to the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California, where he received a degree in Astrophysics and published a number of articles in technical journals. During the next several years, in the style of George Plimpton, he briefly worked for the CIA, rode with the Hell's Angels, and got his bartender's license with the idea of someday buying a bar. Eventually he settled down with a successful career in industry where he received 20 patents for various inventions and rose through the ranks to company president. He enjoys all aspects of the arts: painting, sculpting, and writing. Peter has written two books and is working on his third. Also on his list of hobbies is gardening, gourmet cooking and woodworking. He is also the Vice President of the Heisey Club of Southern California, an association devoted to the study of Heisey elegant glassware. Peter and his wife have an extensive collection of the Grecian Border pattern. Peter is married and lives with his wife, Linda in Southern California. They have two grown children. |
