When we decided we wanted to take a trip to the Caribbean to celebrate
our 10 years together, We went to the Internet and started doing research
on all the various islands. When Barbados seemed to have what we
were looking for (tropical island paradise but with plenty of things to
do and places to go out as well) we started researching the hotels (there
are PLENTY of them on Barbados.) What struck me about the Casuarina
Beach Club was that it was located within walking distance of
something they called "The St. Lawrence Gap" (the main
restaurant, shop and night life center of Barbados) and that their
website said that 60% of their clientele were repeat customers.
That along with a personal review from someone on TripAdvisor.com
who said they were very pleasantly surprised by it for the price made up
our minds that we would go for it and give it a try.
Needless to say we were very pleasantly surprised by it too. In
fact, both Emmanuelle and I agree that when we go back to Barbados
(which we definitely will) we will go back to Casuarina Beach
Club. We looked at a lot of other hotels while we were there and
it was that special a place (at a comparatively economical price to
boot!)
