Upcoming Events

St. Urho's Dance & Family Fun Night - Saturday, March 14th, 7pm. Music
by Wayne Salo's Band (8-11pm). Light lunch included. $7, $3.50 (children
12 and over) , children under 12 free. RSVP by March 11.

Language classes begin Monday, March 16th. A 10-week class for beginners
only. Classes are from 7:30 to 9:30pm, and tuition is $25. Study book extra.
Register at 7pm.

Art Fair - Saturday, March 28th, 10am-5pm. Presented by the FCA FinnWeavers.
Free admission. Local artist space, $15 (call 248-546-6527 by March 1st).

Finnish-American Singers Concert - May. Details to be announced later.

SpringFest - June 5-7. Food, games, music, and dancing.

FinnFest '98 - July 9-12 in Gorham, Maine. This festival will be attended by the
Finnish-American Singers of Michigan, Hoijakat dancers,
and Soittoniekat music club.
Highlights

The Cultural Center has a main hall with stage and dance floor, lounge with bar,
library, import shop, commercial style kitchen, and offices.

Soittoniekat musicians club - jam sessions on
2nd Saturday, 2-5pm.

Finnish-American Singers of Michigan
- rehearsal every Monday, 7-9pm.

Hoijakat dancers - rehersal on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:30pm. Bimonthly pasty sales are held
to raise money for traditional costumes used by the dancers.
- Drama Club.

New Generation children's group.

FinnWeavers - 1st Wednesdays at 10:30am. Workshops on 3rd Tuesdays, 9am-2:30pm.

Women's Club - 4th Tuesdays, meeting at 1pm, program at 2pm.

Bingo - every Friday at 10:30am.
