The 7th Virginia Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company D, is a Progressive Campaign style Confederate Civil War reenactment group. The purpose of the group is to portray the life of the Confederate soldier as accurately as possible in view of the public. We are a proud regiment which distinguished itself through the "War for Southern Independence" from the First Manassas... to Gettysburg... to the final battles at Appomattox. Our men are from Giles County and are nicknamed the "Mountain Boomers". We also reached the stone wall during Pickett's Charge in the Battle of Gettysburg.
